Bread Tag Recycling
Bread tags are made of polystyrene plastic and cannot go in curbside collection bins. These tags, however, can be recycled through Danielle Cares For Chairs. This program pairs sustainability with helping others in our community.
This non-profit is able to merge sustainability with community service. Bread tags collected for this program are sold to a recycling facility. The money earned is able to purchase wheelchairs for those who need them. It takes approximately 260,000 bread tags to purchase one wheelchair.
