Symbolic Monarch Migration

This project is sponsored by Journey North, a program of the University of Wisconsin-Madison Arboretum, and Monarchs Across Georgia, a committee of the Environmental Education Alliance of Georgia. This program promotes education of monarch butterflies and their migration as well as a connection among students across North America.

Each student decorates a life-sized Monarch butterfly and contributes to one large ambassador butterfly which holds a note for the students in Mexico who receive our butterflies. The life-sized butterflies are dispersed to schools across North America landing in other classrooms who participate in the program.
